Frequently asked questions

Wool naturally regulates temperature, is breathable, and retains warmth even in damp conditions. It is also more durable, adapts to the body over time, and drapes with a refined elegance impossible to replicate with synthetic fibers. Polyester may be more economical, but it lacks both the comfort and the aesthetic of true wool.

Those common little balls appear because most coats marketed as “wool” actually contain only a small percentage of wool blended with polyester. Wool is a natural fiber: with friction, some fibers loosen, tangle, and form pills. Since wool is keratin-based, these pills fall away easily with brushing or a fabric shaver. The problem arises when wool is mixed with polyester or acrylic—synthetic fibers that are harder and do not break down. Loose wool fibers become entangled with the synthetics, and because polyester is virtually indestructible, the pills cling permanently to the fabric. That is why cheap blends end up covered in unsightly, stubborn pills, while pure wool pills less and is far easier to maintain.

Our fabrics are sourced from European suppliers certified by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, ensuring every thread is safe for the skin and environmentally responsible. We also work exclusively with Mulesing-Free wool, guaranteeing an ethical origin with no animal cruelty involved.
